This Week in Art
ECC Classes — We will be creating sheep out of paper plates and cotton balls.
Kindergarten — This week we are finishing up our “Leaf People” Collages. I have to say they are adorable!
Gr. 1 — First grade will be finishing up their Poppies in Perspective drawings inspired by the scene in the movie.
Gr. 2 — We will be coloring lilies and watercoloring turquoise paint over our Monet Lily Pond paintings.
Gr. 3 — This week we finish up our Flowers in a Vase drawings by adding highlights and shading.
Gr. 4 — Fourth Graders will be learning how to stencil by creating a shape and using it to make an oil pastel stencil design.
Gr. 5 — We finish up our lovely watercolor leaves this week and learn about the Rorschach Ink Blob study. Then we will create our own Paint Blob Creations.
Gr. 6 — The Sixth Grade class will be going totally Abstract this week as they create a contemporary piece centered around their name.
Gr. 7 — This class will be studying Manuscript Writing and will be using the theme of Giving Thanks to design their own Manuscript Piece of Art.
Gr. 8 — We will be using gold Scratchboard and scratching pens to create a realistic scene.
Art Elective — We finally start painting our Initial Sculptures this week/Hooray!
