Greetings,
Due to a short week and Thanksgiving celebrations we will watch the Disney movie, The Prince of Egypt this week in class. This animated film is a cross-curricular resource for both religion and social studies. A film which retells the Book of Exodus, Egyptian Prince Moses, upon discovering his roots as a Jewish slave, embarks on a quest to free his people from bondage. When his plea is denied by his brother Rameses, the new pharaoh, experiences a series of plagues that strike Egypt. Moses finally leads the Israelites to freedom by parting the Red Sea and drowning the Egyptian army. God then gives Moses the Ten Commandments, a list of rules for his people to live by. The children should truly enjoy this rare treat.
Wishing all of you a VERY HAPPY and BLESSED Thanksgiving!
Love,
Ms. Mazza
