During our current unit, grades Kindergarten through 8th grade are learning the importance of stretching and mobility and how they affect performance in sports. Students throughout the grade levels are challenging themselves to master various poses – forward bends, backbends, twists, partner poses, standing poses, and balance poses. In each grade level, students are working in groups to practice their stretches and poses in order to learn how different poses help to increase flexibility and strength, as well as how to work and practice together in teams.
