I look forward to seeing all of you at Back to School Night. Students were given schedules for you to follow on Friday.
There will be a vocabulary test on Unit 1 Friday, Sept. 22. Much of the homework will consist of vocabulary and some reading.
6th Grade: This week students will read an in class novel, Freak the Mighty. They will discuss the setting and characterization. We will work on our vocabulary and review nouns. If needed students will edit their autobiographies.
7th Grade: Seventh graders have begun reading The Wednesday Wars. We will go over the setting of the novel. The students will go over vocabulary and review nouns. They will also edit their narratives if needed.
8th Grade: The students in eighth grade are reading The Outsiders. They will discuss characterization and conflict within the novel. We will work on vocabulary and review nouns. Students will work on their narratives.
