This week students will have a spelling test on unit 1 from the Vocabulary books, on Friday Sept. 15. Students will receive their vocabulary workbooks tomorrow. Words will also be posted on Google Classroom.
We will begin reading a novel in class: 6th grade will read Freak the Mighty, 7th Grade Wednesday Wars, 8th Grade The Outsiders. I will hand out the novels to the students on Tuesday or Wednesday.
6th Grade: Students will create a biography of themselves. They will review nouns, setting and characterization.
7th Grade: Seventh grade students will create a narrative this week. In addition they will review nouns, setting and characterization .
8th Grade: Eighth graders will create a summer narrative this week. They will review nouns, setting and characterization.
