* There will be a spelling test on Thursday, November 9th.
* October Book Projects are due Wednesday, November 8th.
* Students should select a November ELA themed book.
6th Grade: The sixth graders will begin working on verbs. They will finish a short story, “Lob’s Girl”. As a collaborative effort students will study the literary term Simile.
7th Grade: Students in seventh grade will edit their essays and view verbs. We have begun a Science Fiction unit and will finish All Summer in a Day by Ray Bradbury and begin the teleplay The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street.
8th Grade: Eighth grade students are finishing up a Langston Hughes story and will read an excerpt from “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings.” They will begin to review verbs.
