Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 1 Peter 5:6

There will be a vocabulary test on Unit 9 on Friday, March 2. Much of the homework will be vocabulary this week.

Students will be given a March book list to select books at the beginning of the week, and they will be posted on classroom as well. This month the books are social studies related. Book projects are due Wednesday, March 28th.

6th Grade: The students will edit their preliminary outlines, and they will begin to write a rough draft. If time permits, we will read about Helen Keller in an autobiographical piece and watch a scene from the movie.

7th Grade: Students will be editing their preliminary outlines. Later in the week we will begin to work on our rough drafts. We will read the selection: “Life Without Gravity”.

8th Grade: Students’ preliminary outlines are due on Tuesday, Feb. 27th. The eighth graders will be working on in class essay about an Italian immigrant who strived to learn English; Pascal DeAngelo became a published poet. Later in the week, students will be given advice on their outlines to correct and resubmit.
