There will be a Spelling test on Unit 4 on Friday, November 1st.
Students should be selecting a book for the month of November. I have many books in my classroom that students may read.
ELA 6th: I am committed to having the students finish The Watsons Go to Birmingham this week. We will be discussing the various types of conflicts in the novel, as well as the themes. We will review adjectives and begin adverbs this week. Ultimately, we will create adjective and adverb poems.
ELA 7th: We are continuing to read The Wednesday Wars. Various topics do arise from the story: the Vietnam War, social change, and being a middle schooler! We will begin adverbs.
ELA 8th: Students are working on in class projects for the novel The Outsiders. Eighth graders will have to complete an essay this week. They will review adverbs.
Religion 7th: We are coming to the close of Unit 2. On Tuesday we will begin our review of the unit. There will be a test on Tuesday, November 4th. There will also be a memory quiz on Thursday, October 31 John 14:26
