Everything has turned red as we get ready to celebrate Valentine’s Day next week. In preparation, we will be making special Valentines to mail home to our families. To tie in to last month’s LA unit on community helpers, we will take a walk to the mailbox outside, drop off our cards, and get to see the postal service at work as our cards arrive at our homes in a few days.
This month’s LA unit is on food and healthy eating. Each week we will learn one of the food groups and get to sample different foods for that group.
We will continue to learn about shadows as we make silhouettes of our faces which will tie into our discussions about President Lincoln and President Washington in preparation of presidents week.
During Jesus time we will begin learning the Lord’s Prayer. We will continue to sing different praise and worship songs as well, and this week we will attend chapel on Wednesday.
We continue to practice letter sounds and recognition as we explore a different letter each week.
Reminder that that this coming Sunday February 11, is a school wide open house from 10am-12pm. Come and see all that our school has to offer!
