For the week of November 13th, the students will begin their Flexibility and Mobility units. This unit is taught as a cooperative learning unit in which the students work together to learn the skills. I love teaching this unit because of the overall effect it has on someone’s health. The students learn that practicing Flexibility and Mobility can help them in all areas of their life – sports skills, mental health, overall well being. This unit is also great for grades Kindergarten through second because they learn how their mental health connects with their physical health and get to use their imaginations in the process.
