We are exploring the geometric shapes and letters “Gg” and “Ii”. We are reading books about the shapes, searching our classroom for shapes and creating them with our bodies. We continue to learn the “Phonics Song”, counting song- “Five Little Snowmen” and other winter inspired music and movement activities. The children enjoyed painting and building a snowman in puff paint. We are also discussing feelings and emotions and how we can resolve conflicts in our classroom.
We will have Valentine’s Day Tea Parties on Tuesday, February 13th and Wednesday, February 14th. We are going to encourage the children to make healthy food choices and to use appropriate table manners as part of our lesson. If possible, the children should wear red or pink and get dressed up – if they would like to. The snack that day will be very filling, so your children may not need to pack a large lunch on those days.
