Math Grade 6
This week we will be finishing up with rational numbers. We will be completing a math lab that has the students classify different numbers. We will also be creating rational number posters, which will display the differences between whole numbers, integers, and rational numbers. We will have a quiz on rational numbers on Thursday, 9/28. Extra help is Wednesday morning from 7:30 to 8:00 AM.
Math Grade 7
This week we will be completing Module 2, which focuses on multiplying and dividing integers. The Module 2 quiz will be on Wednesday, 9/27. Following the quiz we will begin our discussion on adding and subtracting rational numbers, involving fractions and decimals. Extra help is Wednesday morning at 7:30-8:00 AM.
Pre-Algebra
We will be reviewing how to simplify non-perfect square radicands and how to solve square root equations. The quiz on this will be on Tuesday, 9/26. Following the quiz we will begin our Unit 1 review on the Number System. The test will be on Thursday 9/28. Extra help is Wednesday morning at 7:30 to 8:00 AM.
Algebra
This week we are beginning Chapter 3, which covers solving and graphing inequalities. We will be solving multi-step, compound, and absolute value inequalities. These concepts will also be applied to various word problems. Extra help is by appointment.
