Welcome back to a new week at Trinity! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Here are the plans for this week.
7th Social Studies
This week we are studying what life was like for those living in the 13 English Colonies. We are starting with government origins and then studying how the different social classes lived and worked, from the gentry of the upper classes to the hardships faced by slaves of the 18th century.
8th Social Studies
This week we are finishing up Chapter 18 with our studying of immigration and changes in education and culture. The students will take one more test that will count for the first trimester. The test will be next Wednesday, December 6th. Review materials will be posted on Friday.
8th Religion
This week the students are studying events that took place in the book of Numbers, specifically the sending of the 12 spies. The overarching theme is that just like the Israelites, we too need to trust in God’s plan, even when it doesn’t seem possible. The students also received the outline for the second trimester project, which may be viewed here. For the second project, the students are designing a house of worship based on the design of the original tabernacle. They may draw a floor plan or create a model. The project is due on Friday, December 15th.
