As of this week, we are officially one month away from the end of the school year, and what a wonderful year it has been! While we are starting to wind down the year, we still quite a bit to accomplish in the coming weeks- projects, tests, and final exams. Here are the plans for this week.

7th and 8th Grade Social Studies

This week the students in both seventh and eighth grades will begin working on their final projects for their respective classes. The projects will be completed primarily in class and will culminate in class presentations. The outlines and rubrics will be distributed in class and posted on the Google Classroom.

Seventh grade will be completing projects based on the industrial revolution and the eventual split between the northern and southern United States. Some of the topics include the factory system, the transportation revolution, the expansion of slavery, and the fundamental differences between the north and the south.

Eighth grade will be completing projects about the important events, leaders, and pop culture of each decade from the 1950s to the early 2000s.

8th Religion

On Thursday, the students will take their test on Unit 5. The study Guide is available here. Extra help will be available on Thursday morning at 7:45 a.m.
