Hello, everyone! As Ms. Mazza informed you, I am still out serving Grand Jury duty. As a social studies teacher, this has been a tremendous opportunity to actually experience what I have been teaching for so many years. However, I genuinely miss everyone at Trinity and I cannot wait to be back in our community of faith. My substitute, Mr. Lively, has been following the plans and standard curriculum for all of my classes. That being said, here is what each class is up to.

7th Social Studies

The seventh grade classes have been studying how our Founding Fathers wrote the highest law of our land, The United States Constitution. Next week they will have a test on chapter 7, and you may view the study guide here. Following the chapter 7 test, the students will study the contents of the Constitution, the functions of the government, and our rights and responsibilities of U.S. citizens.

8th Social Studies

The students of eighth grade have been studying World War I, which essentially led to the Second World War. They will be wrapping up their study of WWI this week, and will have a test on chapter 21 next week. You may view the study guide here. The next topic the students will begin is the Roaring Twenties a.k.a., the Jazz Age.

8th Religion

In religion class, the students have been finishing up Unit 3, which included the Judges, King Saul, King David, and King Solomon. They will have a test early next week. You may view the study guide here, and the essay topic will be based on a hand out the students will receive in class.

While I am on jury duty, I can still check my email, so if there is any way that I can help, please feel free to contact me at [email protected] .
