Math Grade 6

This week the students are continuing with our unit of ratios, rates, and proportions.   Students will explore various methods for solving proportions including equivalent t ratios and cross products. There will be a quiz on ratios and rates (Module 6) on Thursday, 2/8. Extra help is Wednesday mornings at 7:45.

Math Grade 7

The students are beginning to explore Geometry. We have learned about various angles such as complementary, supplementary, vertical, and adjacent. This week we will be exploring circumference and area of circles. This will lead to perimeter and area of other 2-dimensional  shapes such as rectangles, triangles, parallelograms, and trapezoids.  Extra help is Wednesdays at 7:45.

Pre-Algebra

Students are continuing with our unit of systems of equations using graphing, substitution, and elimination. This will lead us to solving system of equations word problems. Students will also be participating in a math lab that explores these three methods.  Extra help is Wednesdays at 7:45.

Algebra

This week students are reviewing for their Chapter 7 test on exponential functions. The test is Wednesday, 2/7.
