Math Grade 6
We are working on Module 11. There will be a quiz on Monday, 5/15 on writing and graphing inequalities. The rest of the week will be used to review for the test on Module 11, which will be on Thursday 5/18. The test will cover integer rules, solving one and two step equations, writing and graphing inequalities. Extra help is Wednesday morning at 7:45.
Math Grade 7
This week we are beginning our last unit on Probability. Experimental and Theoretical of simple and compound events will be covered, as well as sampling with word problems.
There will be a quiz on probability and sampling on Monday, May 15th. There will be another quiz on Thursday, 5/ 18 on probability of compound events.
Extra help is Wednesday morning at 7:45.
Pre-Algebra
We are finishing up our last unit on 3-Dimenional Geometry this week. This unit will cover naming 3-D solids, finding the volume of prisms, cylinders, cones, and spheres. There will be a quiz on Monday, 5/15 on finding the volume of these figures. There will be a unit test on Thursday, 5/18.
Extra help is Wednesday morning at 7:45.
Algebra
We are beginning Chapter 12, Statistics. This is our last chapter and will cover frequency tables, histograms, box and whisker plots, measures of center, dot plots, and percentiles. These are all topics that we have covered in previous years, so it will be familiar to the students. The test will either be Friday, 5/19 or Monday, 5/22 (depending on how the week goes.)
