Math Grade 6

We are continuing with our unit on Statistics. This week our focus will be on quartiles, outliers, and learning to read and construct box and whisker plots. The quiz on quartiles and box and whisker plots will be on Friday, 12/15. Extra help is Wednesday, from 7:30 to 8:00 AM.

Math Grade 7

We are continuing with our unit algebraic expressions,   equations, and inequalities. This week our focus will be on multi-step equations and solving one and two step inequalities.. There will be a quiz on multi-step equations on Wednesday, 12/13.   Please make sure that the students have their calculators from this point on. Extra help is Wednesday morning at 7:30-8:00 AM.

Pre-Algebra

This week we are continuing with graphing linear equations. This week the focus will be on graphing a line using slope intercept form. (y= mx +b) There will be a quiz on finding the slopes of lines on Tuesday, 12/12.     There are not any quizzes this week.   Extra help is Wednesday morning at 7:30 to 8:00 AM.

Algebra

We are beginning our next chapter on Functions. We will be exploring patterns of linear and non-linear functions, domain, range, and function notation. There will be a quiz on Monday, 12/18.   Extra help is Wednesdays during recess.
