Math Grade 6
This week we are continuing our work with decimals. We will be reviewing how to multiply, divide, and solve word problems. There will be a quiz on multiplying and dividing decimals on Tuesday, 11/28. The unit test on decimals will be on Friday, 12/1. Extra help is Wednesday, from 7:30 to 8:00 AM.
Math Grade 7
We are starting our next unit on algebraic expressions and equations. We will be reviewing how to combine like terms and how to distribute. This will lead us into solve 1 and 2 step equations. There are not any tests or quizzes this week. Please make sure that the students have their calculators from this point on. Extra help is Wednesday morning at 7:30-8:00 AM.
Pre-Algebra
This week we are starting a new chapter on graphing linear equations. We will be learning how to graph equations using a table and x and y intercepts. The quiz on these topics will be on Friday, 12/1. Extra help is Wednesday morning at 7:30 to 8:00 AM.
Algebra
We are continuing with chapter 6, Systems of Equations. This chapter covers solving two or more equations using various methods such as graphing, substitution, and elimination. Application problems involving systems will also be explored. Additionally, we will be learning how to graph linear inequalities. The quiz on system word problems and graphing linear inequalities will either be on Friday, 12/1 or Monday, 12/4, depending on how quickly the students grasp these concepts. Extra help is Wednesdays during recess.

Reminders and Important Dates
Middle School Field Trip: Wednesday, 11/29 (This is a dress down day for the Middle School students.) If your child has not submitted payment for this trip, and are not attending, he/she must stay home that day.
Santa Shop: Tuesday, 12/5- 12/7 (Middle School can attend during lunch.)
Christmas Concert: Tuesday, 12/5 7:00 PM
1st Trimester Ends: Wednesday, 12/6
