READING – Our essential question this week is, “How do animals’ colors help them survive?” To help us answer the question we will read and discuss the stories, Red Eyes or Blue Feathers, Chameleon, Chameleon, and Amazing Animal Bodies. Our high frequency words are: he, away, must, no, by, & there. The students will learn the “h” and “k” sound and continue blending sounds using medial, ” a, e, i, and o.” In grammer our focus is on “asking sentences,” (questions), and reading fluency using the stories, Hog in a Hat, and Kid Hid, from our Readers.

MATH – A study sheet will be sent home Tuesday to help your child review Chapter 9, Two – Dimensional Shapes. We will have a test on Thursday, May 24th.

RELIGION – Our story of Pentecost continues and how we can spread the love of Jesus.

SCIENCE – We are discussing how animals adapt to their environment.

HANDWRITING – The students will practice “R-r.”
