READING- Our essential question this week is,”In what ways is the Atlantic Ocean special?” We will answer the question by reading and discussing the book Atlantic, and comparing it to our other stories, One Dog Canoe and Poems About the Sea. As we read these stories and those from our Readers we will learn to determine the author’s purpose, as well as discuss the use of figurative language. We will continue to blend and decode words, using the initial “r” sound and the medial vowel sounds “a” and “i.” Our high frequency words are, will, into, your, be, that, and who.

MATH- Students will model, count and write the numbers 18 and 19.

RELIGION- Our Bible stories are Jesus heals the 10 lepers and Jesus heals a paralyzed man.

SCIENCE- Along with learning about our Earth, we will discuss “signs of Spring.”
