Welcome to Mrs. Flomer’s class notes!
Here’s a look at what we will be doing this week!
Spelling- The new words for this week are: how, now, cow, owl, ouch, house, found, out, gown, town, family, myself, please, school. The children will write their spelling words 3x each for homework by Tuesday. They should write 14 sentences due by Thursday. Spelling Test will be on Friday.
Phonics- ou, ow, oi, oy, au, aw words
Language Arts- contractions
Reading: We will read the story, The New Friend. The children will read the story again at home. They need to know about the narrator of the story. There will be Reading tests on Friday.
Math- Chapter 11- Geometry; Test Monday
Science- Earth- natural resources
Social Studies- Goods/Trade; test Tuesday 5/16 on Book 4
Weekly Reader- Real Rainbow Fish
Dates to remember:
Spring Musical- May 23rd at 7p.m.
May 31st- class trip to Planetarium- This show ties in with our Science curriculum on the Solar System. It is very educational and also entertaining for the students!
Children should bring a lunch so we can picnic there after the show, weather permitting. Please send in the $3 as soon as possible, as I have to send payment this week.
