Here’s a look at what we will be doing this week:
Spelling- The new words for this week are: her, fern, girl, sir, stir, bird, fur, hurt, turn, third, begins, eight, learning, and years. The children will write their spelling words 3x each for homework by Tuesday. They should write 8 sentences, due by Wednesday. Spelling Test will be on Friday.
Phonics- controlled vowels: er, ir, ur
Reading: We will read the story, Amazing Animals this week. The children will read the story again at home. The vocabulary words are: baby, begins, eight, follow, learning, until, years, young. The Reading tests will be given on Friday.
Math- measurement; time to the hour
Science- plant structure
Social Studies- Unit 4- Economics: All about work
Weekly Reader- kite flying

The 2nd trimester ends this week. Report cards will be uploaded for you to view next week.
Our St. Patrick’s day snacks were great! We enjoyed all the treats. Thank you to all who sent in items!
Please send in your non-perishable items by Friday for our Easter breakfast. A note went home last week with the details.
Remind your child to complete all work in his/her neatest handwriting.
Book order forms will go home this week. You can order books online at Scholastic.com or send your order form and check to school.
Pizza envelopes should be handed in by Thursday at noon!
