Here’s a look at what we will be doing this week!
Spelling- The words for this week are: chin, chop, much, chip, rich, chick. The “R” book words are: been, brown, know, never, off, out, own, very. The children will write their words 3x each for homework by Tuesday. They should write 5 sentences by Wednesday. The test will be on Friday.
Phonics- ch and –tch words
Language Arts- possessives
Reading: We will read the story How Leopard got his Spots. The children will read it again at home. There will be Reading tests on Friday. There are 2 parts to the phonics test. The first part is ch and -tch words and the second part is possessives.
Math- Related facts; making numbers to 20; equal and not equal
Science- unit 3- Light
Social Studies- Review for test next Tuesday on Unit 3. Book will be sent home to review at home.

Our Star of the Week is Jordana! We are excited to learn all about her.
We will be having a Christmas luncheon just for the children on Thursday, 12/21. The class moms are asking for volunteers to send in items. Please see the special notice that was sent home last week about the book for your child (due this Thursday).
Thank you to all who sent in the “Top Secret” money. Please send it in as soon as possible if you have not already done so.
Send in your child’s pizza money by Thursday morning.
