Here’s a look at what we will be doing this week!

 

Spelling– There will be no new spelling words since it is a short week.   We will be working on spelling words associated with Thanksgiving. There will not be a test this week.

Language Arts– We will begin lesson 10 after the Thanksgiving weekend. This week we will work on reading comprehension stories about the Pilgrims. No tests this week.

 

 

Math- Subtraction strategies

 

Religion– Thank you, God

 

Social Studies– Communicating with Sound

Weekly Reader- Wampanoag people

1AA News

 

Our Turkey Trot this morning was a lot of fun! Thank you to all who participated and donated to our charity, Long Island Cares.

 

On Wednesday, 11/22, we will have a school wide Thanksgiving feast.   Special desserts will be served in the classroom following the feast.   Thank you to our class moms for all their help, and to those who are helping to serve!!

I enjoyed meeting with each and every one of you at parent/teacher conferences! Thank you for all of your input, and please contact me if you would like to meet again at any time during the school year.

 

I would like to wish all of you a very happy, blessed Thanksgiving. We all have so much to be thankful for. I am very thankful for my wonderful first grade students!
