Winn Dixie Day in the 4th grade was a fun event. The students worked individually and in small groups to complete tasks related to the book, Because of Winn Dixie. The student’s involvement in these tasks showed how much of an impact the book had on them. It was great to see all the connections they made to the text. Look for their work in a hallway display by the end of this week!

Spelling: attractive, burden, constant, dependable, indicate, previous, qualify, response, shabby, thaw, urgent, vanity
Reading: Anchor text, “Invasion From Mars”; begin read aloud, Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing
Grammar: Action verbs, helping verbs, linking verbs
Writing: Writing a fictional narrative
Math: Review chapter 2; test next Tuesday 10/24
TESTS this week:
- Thursday – Memory Quiz, Spelling test
