We just completed our poetry unit and the kids did a great job writing their own poems in a variety of styles. You can look forward to reading their poetry books when I return them this week.
It’s hard to believe that we are almost finished with our Journeys Language arts series. After the last unit , we will spend the remaining weeks of the school year reviewing grammar and reading concepts that have been covered in 4th grade. In June, the class will be taking the end of year Benchmark exams which will assess their knowledge on the concepts taught.
