Our first trimester has come to an end. As you review your child’s report card, please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have. We will be finishing a few academic units and have assessments before the Christmas break.
Week: December 11-15
Spelling: Christmas Spelling Challenge (instructions have been sent home) Students will do various activities using a list of 15 Christmas words that they have selected. Please be sure the words on their list are spelled correctly.
Reading: Anchor story” Ecology for Kids”; Vocabulary: organisms, directly, affect, traces, vast, habitats, variety, species, banned, radiation; read aloud, The Last Holiday Concert by Andrew Clements
Grammar: the verb “be”
Writing: Christmas traditions stories
Math: Review and test on Chapter 4
TESTS this week:
- Thursday – Math, Chapter 4
- Friday – Reading, Grammar

- Friday is the Barnes & Noble Book Fair fundraiser for Trinity. The store is located on Old Country road in Carle Place. Please come down and support the school between the hours of 6:30-8:30
- Reminder, secret Santa gifts are due next Monday, 12/18.
