Math Grade 6
We are working on module 9. This week there will be a quiz that will focus on exponents and using the order of operations, PEMDAS on Tuesday, 3/13. The remainder of the week will cover expressions vs. equations. Vocabulary such as coefficient, variable, and constant will be introduced. Extra help is Wednesday morning at 7:45.
Math Grade 7
This week we are continuing with Unit 4. This unit explores geometry. We have explored circumference and area of circles and how to calculate the area of rectangles, parallelograms, triangles, and trapezoids. There will be quiz on Tuesday, 3/14 on finding the area of irregular figures. The rest of the week will focus on finding surface area.
Extra help is Wednesday morning at 7:45.
Pre-Algebra
This week we are continuing our unit on 2D Geometry. This unit will cover translations, reflections, rotations, dilations, symmetry, and scale factors. Graph paper is needed for this unit. There will be a quiz on translations, rotations, and reflections on Tuesday, 3/14.
Extra help is Wednesday morning at 7:45.
Algebra
We are starting chapter 9. This chapter covers quadratic graphs and their properties. We will be exploring how to find the vertex, axis of symmetry, and roots of parabolas.
