Welcome back after our snow days!
On Monday and Tuesday this week we will be making up the Math and Reading Benchmark Exams that were scheduled for last week. We will continue with our fractions lessons in Math
Please consider letting your child participate in our K-5 Sing-a-long on Friday. The fee of $3 is a donation to Long Island Cares and the students will be singing along to some of their favorite Christian prayer videos. Registration slips will be due on Thursday.
Week: 13-17
Spelling: judge, glance, damage, package, twice, stage, carriage, since, practice, marriage, baggage, office, message, bridge, chance, notice, ridge, manage, palace, bandage
Reading: Literature Circles, “The Thing About Georgie”
Writing: Descriptive paragraphs and essays
Math: adding and subtracting parts of a whole; adding and subtracting fractions using models
Science: Review natural resources
Social Studies: Review New York’s Government
Test This Week:
- Benchmark exams, no tests in other academic subjects

- Math EXTRA Help Wednesday, 7:45am
- Students may wear red or pink to school on Tuesday to celebrate Valentine’s Day. We will have some special snacks in the classroom
